Communication requires measures of success. The Effie Awards recognize marketing effectiveness and are proof of successful marketing. The Effie has a special position among industry awards and focuses on what really counts: The effectiveness of communication and its value contribution to the company's success. This year, we are starting a new round in Switzerland.
The Effie Awards Switzerland have been presented in Switzerland every two years since 1985 by LEADING SWISS AGENCIES, the association of leading communication agencies. They are regarded as the industry's national Oscar and recognize the most effective and groundbreaking marketing communication.
Effie is also the platform for exchanging marketing effectiveness with experts from clients and agencies, from market research, science and media.
The submission phase, in which companies, agencies, media companies, and individuals could submit their best marketing communication campaigns from the years 2022 and 2023 for the Effie Awards Switzerland 2024, has ended.
The finalists will be announced in July, and the ideas and approaches honoured with precious metal will be revealed from October. As always, the Grand Effie will be celebrated exclusively and live on stage at the Award Night, which takes place on 6 November this year. Further details will follow.
In November 2022, the Effie Awards were presented in 14 categories at Kaufleuten for the 19th time. The categories “Social Media”, “Influencer Marketing”, “Marketing Automation” and “Performance Marketing” were added. 6x gold, 12x silver and 6x bronze as well as 17 Effie diplomas went to the best communication campaigns of the last two years, with awards for the communication and media agency as well as the client. For the second time, a Grand Effie was also awarded for the best submission of the year to “Sixth Sense” for Zweifel Pomy Chips from Jung von Matt/Limmat.
“Overall, the 2022 Effie vintage is a very good one. The submitted cases reflect the enormous variety of tasks that communication is able to perform today. The above-average effect can be achieved in a variety of ways. The number of recipes for success has increased,” summarizes Peter Felser, president of this year's jury.
